Help & guide
Everything you need, in one place
A quick watch and four short steps. If anything is still unclear, email us — a real person answers.
Watch the walkthrough
A quick tour of the quoting flow. On your first visit to Quick quote, an in-app tour also points out each control as you go.
Getting started, step by step
1. Set up your profile
Add your name, business name, commission state, and expiration. Everything here prefills every quote, so you never re-type it. Profile → Your profile.
2. Build your mileage tiers
Set flat brackets the way you actually charge — for example 1–30 miles = $30, 31–60 = $50 — plus a per-mile rate for anything beyond your last bracket. Quotes use these automatically.
3. Quote the signing
Use Guided quote if you want to be walked through it question by question, or Quick quote once you know the drill. Your state's statutory act cap is applied for you, and printing, witnesses, and travel are added as separate service fees.
4. Send it to the client
Save the quote, then open Quote history. Tap PDF for a branded one-page quote sheet you can save or print, or the copy icon for a clean text summary to paste into an email or text.
Common questions
How many notarial acts should I put for a loan signing?
Refinances typically run 4–6 notarized documents, purchases 5–8, and a seller-only package 2–4. Each quote screen shows the typical range for the appointment type you pick — tap the hint icon next to Acts.
Where do the state fee caps come from?
They live in a maintained fee table, not in the app code, and each state shows when it was last verified. When a legislature changes a cap, it updates for everyone without a new app version.
When am I charged?
Your card is saved at signup and nothing is charged for 10 days. On day 10 your plan begins, and we email you a reminder before that happens. You can cancel any time during the trial and pay nothing.
What happens if my card fails on renewal?
You keep full access for a short grace window and we email you to update the card. Saved quotes, clients, and history are never deleted — only creating new quotes pauses until billing is fixed.
Can I use NotaryRate on my phone?
Yes. Open notaryrate.com in Safari or Chrome and choose Add to Home Screen — it installs like an app, full screen, with your own icon.
How do I delete my account and data?
Profile → Delete account. That permanently removes your profile, clients, quotes, and history. It cannot be undone.
